The last week was filled with headlines of Rob Zombie visiting the UK on a tour after 12 years; now all of those headlines are gone, replaced. You all know what replaced them, the announcement of the new Skindred Album titled “Union Black”, album scheduled to be released May 2.
The front man of Skindred Benji Webbe has this to say about the new Skindred album: “This is the first album we have written and recorded in the U.K. It’s a big departure from our usual sunny California or Florida surroundings; it’s bloody freezing! The album will be darker and heavier than any of our previous recordings and I’ve not been this excited whilst writing since I was a kid! ‘Union Black’ is bringing the darker side of the ‘DRED out, for sure!”
Great news for any Skindred fan for sure, a few concerts and a darker than black, Union Black album from Skindred are coming.
Rob Zombie will be playing in the UK during a small February tour after 12 years.

We recently found out that a CD/DVD set of DUB WAR titled “The Dub, The War & The Ugly” is to be released in September. Here is an article taken from antimusic.com:
“Earache Records have announced the release of a CD/DVD set from Dub War entitled ‘The Dub, The War & The Ugly’.
Due to be released on September 13th, 2010, ‘The Dub, The War & The Ugly’ features a wealth of exclusive new and unreleased material from DUB WAR, which featured vocalist Benji Webbe of Skindred and released two genre-defining albums in the late ’90s.
Dub War and Skindred vocalist Benji Webbe comments: “For the short time we were a band I know we made a lasting impact on a lot of lives. This release gives a chance to all those who missed us back then to see exactly what we had and why people still talk about Dub War.”
The CD features twelve rare and previously unreleased Dub War tracks, including three songs from the band’s unreleased third album.
The DVD features a brand new documentary filmed in 2010, which gives a detailed history of the band from start to finish, including in-depth interviews with all key members of the band.
The DVD also contains a full live set filmed at the London Astoria on January 10th, 1998, as well as all six promotional music videos from the band.”
Skindred’s manager Seven Webster at 7pm Management said, “We are really excited to be working with Tony Moss and the Worldwide BMG team. After all the nominations the band have received at various awards in the last couple of weeks and seeing the band play to around 40,000 people at the weekend at Knebworth it helps highlight the importance of this act as a fast growing global concern and is a key part in our strategy going forwards.”
The deal takes into account all songs written by all four band members to date as well as their individual work as writers with frontman Benji Webb also penning cuts on Bullet for My Valentine’s last album and new Roadrunner Records signing Revoker whom he is also producing.
